Tattoo Tony who?
I’ve been
tattooing since 1996. It all started
back when tattoos were a bit risky, what with all the dodgy
characters tattooing at the time. I found work with ‘RUDY’S
TATTOO STUDIO’, and working under Dee, I learned the trade the
hard way.( Working my ass off every day) I had a background
in fine art and graphic design so applying the art was
relatively easy for me, and DEE was a great tattoo artist/
teacher.
Getting my art noticed was the next step. It was the custom
work that did it for me, designing pieces for clients,
putting my personal mark on whatever it was that they
wanted, although in those days people were more into the
cheesy small designs that never really worked for me.
“RUDY’S” in those day’s had a good reputation for
cleanliness and hygiene as well as good clean work. Working
with ANT, really changed things for me, and put us on the
map to being a new school tattoo studio. With Dee leaving us
to move overseas, the studio flourished into a young vibey
studio with high quality work.
Ant moved on to his own studio and I bought the Hatfield
studio and began to stamp my custom artwork on to the tattoo
scene.
After a year I moved my Studio to its current location which is synonymous with high quality
work, although I tend to be a little aggressive when it
comes to doing my type of work and sometimes I can be a bit
too honest when discussing the quality of their old work (
even if it’s mine! ). most people trust me with the
designing of all their custom pieces giving me complete
artistic freedom.
From small to large format pieces, there’s not much I wont
do.
New school, Old school, Black & grey, tribal, Portraits,
colour, Freehand , bio- mech, Tear-outs, Traditional,
fine-line or pin-ups.
